Learning Station

Residents enroll their own car. No staff time, no trip to the gate.

A learning station sits in the community. The resident taps a button in the app, then presses the garage door button built into their car. From then on, that button opens the gate.

Learning Station

What it does for your community

  • Each car's built-in garage door button sends its own unique ID, much like an RFID tag.
  • The system assigns that ID to the vehicle and to the resident's account.
  • No staff time spent programming remotes, and no trip to the gate to enroll.
  • Residents use the button already in their car, so there are fewer remotes and fobs to buy.
  • Each learned car is its own credential. When a car is sold or a resident moves out, revoke that one car.
  • The station can sit at the office or at another spot in the community.

How it works

Simple on purpose

  1. In the app

The resident taps a button. The station gets ready to learn.

  2. At the station

The resident presses the garage door button in their car

  3. Linked

Its unique ID is assigned to that car and that account

  4. At the gate

From then on, that car button opens the gate

The app step needs an internet connection, because it tells the station to get ready. Once a car is learned, the gate decides on site, so that car keeps opening it if the internet or cell link drops. See the full picture
