FAQ
Questions from managers
Do our staff still program remotes?
Not for car openers. Residents enroll the garage door button built into their car at the learning station, from the app. Your staff do not program it and nobody drives to the gate.
Can boards and staff have their own logins?
Yes. Many people can have access, each with their own login. They can update gate access, run reports, see the logs and gate strikes, and see how many people go through each gate, and who.
Can we manage several communities from one login?
Yes. The cloud platform gives managers multi-site views, scheduling, event history and reports across every community they run, from one login.
How are lost remotes handled?
Each credential is enrolled to a person and an address. When a remote is lost, you revoke that one remote. Nobody else is affected and nobody needs a new code.
Who gets the alerts?
Whoever is on call. Alerts go out by text and email, and can be acknowledged, assigned and tracked to closed. Maintenance windows keep planned work from paging anyone.
Can we share reports with the board?
Yes. The platform includes shareable reports and a full history of events, so you can show a board what happened and when. Board members can also have their own login.
What if one of our communities does not want the cloud?
That community can run in offline (standalone) mode, managed on site through the controller's local console. Its gates, doors and schedules work the same way, but it is not part of your cloud views, map or alerts.
