For HOAs, communities and parks

Every credential in one place. Fewer remotes to buy and program.

Remotes, car openers, fobs, cards, tags and plates, managed from one office or one login. Residents enroll their own car at a learning station. And if your gate follows industry standards, you keep it.

Where it fits

HOAs, gated communities and parks.

Anywhere that uses access control. The same system works at a subdivision gate, a park entrance or a clubhouse door.

What boards ask first

The questions that come up at every board meeting.

  1. 01

    What problem does it solve?

Shared gate codes get copied. Lost remotes cannot be shut off. Programming remotes takes office time. Uniti puts every credential in one system, tied to a person and an address, and lets residents enroll their own car at a learning station. Credentials and resident access
  2. 02

Where do the savings come from?

If your gate follows industry standards, you keep it instead of replacing it. Residents use the car button they already own, so there are fewer remotes and fobs to buy. Enrollment is self-service, so the office spends less time on it. You revoke one credential instead of changing a shared code. And you manage it all remotely, so there are fewer trips to the gate.
  3. 03

    How are residents affected?

They tap a button in the app, then press the garage door button in their car at the learning station. From then on, that button opens the gate. Their existing remotes keep working too. How the learning station works
  4. 04

    Who can manage it?

Board members, managers and office staff can each have their own login. They can update gate access, run reports, see the logs and gate strikes, and see how many people go through each gate, and who. Shared access and reports
  5. 05

What does it take to switch?

Uniti works with and retrofits gate and access systems that follow industry standards, so you keep what works. We design and configure the system, and coordinate installation with licensed local contractors. It is typically ready in about two weeks.
  6. 06

    What about emergency access?

Fire, EMS, law enforcement and city officials get in the way they always have, with more ways in. If something fails, the gate defaults to open for emergency access. How emergency access works
  7. 07

    Do we need the cloud?

Not for the gates. Each controller makes its own decisions on site, and you can run fully offline with a local console. The app, learning station enrollment, team logins, reports and logs use the cloud platform.

FAQ

Questions from boards

Do residents need new remotes?

No. Residents can enroll the garage door button built into their car at the learning station, and keep the remotes they already use. They can add fobs, cards, RFID tags or license plates if they want to.

How does the learning station work?

The resident taps a button in the app, and the station gets ready to learn. The resident then presses the garage door button in their car. The system links that car to their account, and from then on the car button opens the gate. The app step needs an internet connection.

Can more than one person manage it?

Yes. Board members, managers and office staff can each have their own login. They can update gate access, run reports, see the logs and gate strikes, and see how many people go through each gate, and who.

Can we keep our gate and access system?

In most cases, yes. Uniti works with and retrofits existing gate and access systems that follow industry standards. Keeping what you have avoids paying for a new gate.

Does it work for parks?

Yes. Manufactured home communities, RV parks and public parks use the same system: the same credentials, learning station, logs and reports. Anywhere that uses access control can use it.

What happens if the internet goes down?

Each controller makes its own decisions on site. Schedules, resident access and emergency behavior keep running if the internet or cell link drops. Enrolling a car at the learning station, remote management, reports and logs need a connection.

Do we have to use the cloud?

No. Communities that do not want a cloud connection can run in offline (standalone) mode. The controller is set up and managed on site through its own local console, with no cloud account needed.

Can emergency responders get locked out?

The gate is an access system built never to lock out responders. If a controller, sensor, receiver or connection fails, emergency entry points default to open.

Who does the installation?

We do not do the physical installation ourselves. We coordinate it with licensed local contractors: your existing gate or electrical contractor, or one we help you find. We support that installer through hookup and commissioning.

How long does it take?

Everything we offer is available now. Each system is built to fit the community it serves, and is typically ready in about two weeks from order.
